A sharp-looking barber poses confidently in front of his shop. A cigar burns in his slender fingers as he props one foot on steps that a lawyer would love. A 1935 Ford Model 48 cools in the shade behind him; in a nearby alley a dusty Model A sits parked. A man in a barber’s chair peers suspiciously through the window at the photographer. An Art Deco clock counts down the minutes to World War Two. A bygone afternoon frozen in time…

Angel’s Memory Lane is a free service that reunites individuals and families with heirlooms lost to time, from 19th-century daguerrotypes and childhood letters to Santa, to immigrant ship manifests and sentimental items in foreclosed storage units.

While I’m very grateful for tips so I can brighten more people’s days (PayPal: AngelsMemoryLane@gmail.com), no payment is necessary. And while I love to hear that an heirloom has found its home, I never write twice unasked.

I hope you enjoy your trip down Memory Lane!
